Wazee, Then and Now
In 1921 under Colorado State electrical license #21 Wazee Electric began operations. Wazee Electric provides electrical design and installation, electric motor and generator repair, and an outside field service group who provides predictive maintenance and on-site repair.
After more than 40 years in the motor and generator business, Crane Service and Manufacturing was added to the offering in 1961 as the company continued to expand its name and customer base. Wazee Crane provides overhead material handling solutions with service and manufacturing capabilities to 125-ton and 150-foot spans.
In 2007, Wazee added Wind Turbine Service and Support to its platform in order to serve a growing demand for professional and reliable wind turbine service and support. Today, we accomplish that through our sister brand H&N Wind, which is also part of Timken Power Systems. H&N provide a wide range of wind turbine services including generator, gearbox and electrical repair both up-tower and down-tower, and through our Wind Warehouse we offer many replacement wind turbine parts and brushes to ensure immediate availability.
Did You Know? The word Wazee (Wah-zee) means "tall pine" in one Native American language. It was also the name of the Native American wife of one of the mountain men who settled in the Rocky Mountains in 1851. Most recently, the word was used to name a main downtown Denver street on which our business was founded in 1921.
